A graduate of UBC Sauder School of Business as a Leslie Wong Fellow (1989), Peter credits his experiences there for the values and ethics he brings to his personal investments, philanthropic ventures and to Gallant.
Peter’s career started with more than a decade as principal with a Vancouver-based investment firm specializing in trading and venture capital investments. During that time he assisted and mentored numerous entrepreneurs in small to medium-sized businesses raising capital, restructuring, and handling mergers and acquisitions.
In 2001 Peter sold his interest back to the firm to pursue personal investment interests, through which Gallant Investment Partners was formed. Peter has grown Gallant’s investments from simple beginnings to an impressive international portfolio of private equity, venture capital and real estate opportunities.
A strong believer in giving back and paying it forward, Peter invests heavily in philanthropic pursuits – with a particular interest in supporting of UBC Sauder students and alumni.
“If you can spare the time, the pleasure and joy that you get out of helping others is tremendous.” – Peter Lee
Despite his extensive and varied investment interests and his passion for philanthropy, Peter strives to maintain a strong family focus and puts priority on work-life balance.
